Quran And Tajweed definition And Terms:
Quran: The word of Allah that was revealed to the prophet Mohammad (SAW) through the mediation of Angle Jibril for guidance to mankind.
Hadith: Is the sayings, deeds and silent approval of the Prophet(SAW) as well as his physical and behavioral qualities.
- Ijazah : Is a miracle which accompanies and support the prophethood and messengership of Prophets and Messengers of Allah
- Tafsir: a science that concerns with elucidating and interpreting the meaning of the Glorious Quran.
- Tajweed: a knowledge which deals with teaching proper ways of reciting the Glorious and assist to observe the points of articulation.
- Qurra’u: is a plural term of Qari which means an authoritative reader of the Glorious Quran.
- Rawi: is a transmitter of a particular method of Quranic recitation from his master.
- Hafs: is a name of renouned Qira’at transmitter who narrated his method of recitation from Asim .
- Warsh: Famous Qira’at transmitter who learnt his way of recitation from Nafi .
- Ahruf: different ways of reciting the Glorious Quran that was revealed to the prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.).
- Nasabah: An Arabic upper vowel point.
- Kasarah: An Arabic lower vowel point.
- Dammah: An Arabic vowel point between upper and lower point.
- Sukun: Is an also Arabic vowel, which only locates at the middle and end of the words unlike others.

The Concept of the Seven Famous Qiraat:
The term Qiraat is an Arabic plural form of Qiraah, which is the derivation source of Qaraa;
Yaqra’u Quran the Qiraah means reading or recitation’ and in a broader sense it signifies according to Mujam al-Wasit dictionary (1980: 48) that as succession of the books words by eyesight and articulation.
However, both the Qiraah and Tilawah are closely related in literal meaning. But technically there is a slight difference between them since the Qiraah scope is wider.
1-Qira’ah (Recitation):
if the variation in the way of Quranic recitation was directly narrated from one of the seven or more authoritative readers, and All the transmitters coincided they called that a Qira’ah (Recitation). Therefore, they used to say this is the Qira’ah of Nafi or this is the Qira’ah of Asim etc.
Riwayah (Transmission):
This refers to the difference in Quranic recitation, which was transmitted by one of notable transmitter from his master who was among the authoritative readers like, the Riwayah of Hafs from the Qira’ah of Asim, or the Riwayah of Warsh from the Qiraah of Nafi.
By referring to the Riwayah of Hafs we can find that the variation in Qur’anic recitation is attached to the Rawi [Notable transmitter] that is Hafs who transmitted that from his master Asim.
Tariqah (way):
This is a variation in reading of some Qur’anic thatwas reported by a student of notable transmitter from his master eg.
Wajh (Aspect):
